What a night for fights and what a night for decisions! UFC San Antonio (UFC on ESPN 4) took place last night, July 20th, at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The event tied 5 other UFC events for the record of most decisions at a single UFC event with 10 decisions. The total attendance at the AT&T Center was 9,255 and the total gate for the event was $841,820.61. Mario Bautista vs. Jin Soo Son earned the ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus award. There were two ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses given out to Walt Harris and Dan Hooker. Each one of the winners received $50,000 for their bonus.

Leon Edwards, UFC San Antonio

In the main event, both Leon Edwards (18-3) and Rafael dos Anjos (29-12) fought valiantly but Edwards controlled the majority of the fight. Edwards was able to masterfully piece dos Anjos up while utilizing superb take down defense. Leon use his brutal elbows to sail to a unanimous decision (50-45, 49-46, 49-46).

Walt Harris, UFC San Antonio

The co-main event was very short but most certainly sweet. The entirety of the fight between Walt Harris (13-7-1) and Aleksei Oleinik (57-13-1) lasted only 12 seconds. Harris used his agility to throw a flying knee which forced Oleinik out of position. Walt then connected with a devastating left hand and then two more lefts on the ground to secure the first round knockout win. This is now the second KO/TKO first round loss in a row for Oleinik.

Greg Hardy (5-1) faced Juan Adams (5-2), his most legitimate opponent to date, and passed with flying colors. Adams was no match as Hardy ground and pounded him to the TKO finish. Hardy’s TKO win came at 45 seconds of very first round.
